Full Time Associate Therapist

Casa Serena is a women’s only behavioral healthcare facility with integrated programs treating Substance Use, Mental Health, Trauma and Eating Disorders. We are currently looking to add creative, compassionate, and innovative individuals to the team in the position of Full Time Associate Therapist.

As Santa Barbara’s only licensed and accredited treatment program for women, we deliver high quality integral care in a collaborative team environment. Our unique curriculum is designed to help women and staff flourish. We offer engaging, culturally sensitive process and psychoeducation groups. We encourage staff collaboration to enhance our curriculum as you learn how to be confident in group facilitation. Primary Purpose and Function

The Associate Therapist provides direct service including individual, couple/family and group psychotherapy, consultations, and crisis intervention

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Provide weekly individual therapy with clients
  • Provide weekly family and couples therapy with clients and their family members
  • Facilitate process groups and all other group modalities
  • Create and update Treatment Plans
  • Complete Biopsychosocial and other assessments as needed
  • Attend weekly multidisciplinary Treatment Team meeting
  • Provide clinical and crisis interventions
  • Complete documentation in EMR (KIPU)
  • Maintain compliance with Joint Commission Standards and State Licensing Requirements

Qualifications

  • Registered Associate (AMFT, APCC, ACSW) with the California BBS.
  • Current professional liability insurance.
  • Experience working in treatment a plus.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally with clients, administration.
  • Should possess a professional demeanor and a collaborative spirit.
  • Have a general understanding and/or training in cultural diversity issues.
