Addiction Treatment Provided by
First Health Insurance
Making the decision to undergo drug treatment is a major life decision. When you make the decision to get clean and sober, you understand that you must address the underlying roots of your substance abuse. The decision to go to treatment is tough but finding the right rehab that fits your specific needs can be just as difficult. In addition to finding the right balance of evidence-based programs, support, and expert care, you must consider how to pay for treatment. In reality, having insurance is the most significant consideration when looking for a drug and alcohol rehab.
Fortunately, many drug treatment programs work with insurance carriers, including First Health Insurance. Casa Serena is a First Health Santa Barbara rehab with six decades of experience. Call us today and learn more about our women’s rehab in Santa Barbara.

What Addiction Programs Does First Health Insurance Cover?
-Detox: Helps clients minimize the pain and discomfort associated with withdrawal in a safe and comfortable manner.
-Residential Treatment: Requires patients to live at the rehab facility or in nearby housing to receive intensive treatment services.
-Outpatient Treatment: Allows people to receive vital treatment services at the facility or other location while being able to remain at home and fulfill work, school, and family obligations.
-Partial Hospital Treatment (PHP): A more intensive outpatient treatment program for people who are at high risk for relapse or need immediate medical or mental health care.
-Intensive Outpatient Treatment (IOP): An outpatient option for those needed more intensive care compared to traditional outpatient programs but has the flexibility in allowing people to live at home.
-Continuing Care/Aftercare: Can include alumni programs, continue counseling and therapy, and transitional living.
It is important to note that residential treatment costs considerably more than outpatient programs. However, programs and services in both residential and outpatient programs are covered as long as those services are deemed medically necessary. The coverage of these programs varies from state to state and can vary depending on your plan. Contact the admissions team at Casa Serena if you want to have us verify your policy coverage for you.
In-Network Rehab Center
Understanding In-Network and Out-of-Network Coverage
There may be out-of-network providers that won't cover some treatment services, and costs associated with those services will come out-of-pocket. For non-covered services, providers may charge a rate that is higher than most out-of-network rates. This is especially true if you are looking at a facility in another state where there may be no coverage.
